## 1. How ranking works

1. **Pick a place you've been.** Any city or national park, anywhere on Earth.
2. **Say how it was.** Tap "I liked it," "It was fine" or "I didn't like it."
3. **Choose between two.** Desti puts it head to head with places you felt the same way about, one pair at a time, until it lands in its spot.
4. **Get your score.** Your list orders itself, and every place earns a score out of 10. Scores unlock once you've ranked five places. Changed your mind? Re-rank it from the place's page.

## 2. Why picks instead of stars

Stars grade each place on its own, and five of them run out fast: the places you loved end up tied at the top. A head-to-head pick asks something easier to answer: Paris or Rome? Each answer is small, but together they put your whole list in order, and no two places share a spot. Your list is earned, not vibes.

## 3. What your rankings do for you

- **Explore** recommends where to go next from your own rankings and from people whose taste matches yours, and shows you why each place is there.
- **Saved posts:** share the Instagram and TikTok posts that put a place on your radar onto the place itself, so they're waiting when you plan instead of buried in your DMs.
- **Friends:** follow friends to see their real rankings and your Taste Match. A high Taste Match means their 9 is probably your 9.
- **Map:** see everywhere you've been, each pin with its score, and everywhere you still want to go.
